Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest and most prestigious academic honor society in the United States, with only 270 colleges nationwide authorized to host chapters. Geneseo’s chapter, Alpha Delta of New York, is one of the newest, created in January 2004. Every spring, the chapter elects new members to Phi Beta Kappa from Geneseo’s junior and senior classes.
